Genius with Dave Gorman
Summary
Imagine a world where gym equipment is hooked up to the national grid, every pavement has pedestrian fast and slow lanes, every aeroplane is fitted with its own, giant parachute, steel drum urinals for musical trips to the toilet and there are breathalysers on mobile phones to prevent regrettable calls.
From the daft and down-right ridiculous to the hilariously inventive, each show sees Dave and his celebrity guest struggle to make sense of a series of pitches from members of the public arguing very passionately and very seriously for ideas that they think might just change the world (even if they are essentially very silly). Dave and his guest then have to decide whether the idea is pure genius, or perfectly ludicrous.
At the end of the show the celebrity guest nominates their two favourite contestants and the audience votes as to who should be the overall winner. The show culminates with the winning contributor being crowned the ultimate ‘Genius’, winning an immense sense of self- fulfilment and the legendary Genius trophy.
Following the hugely successful radio show of the same format, the programme encourages lots of creativity from its viewers, and is original, funny and highly entertaining.
