Exploring Malaysia takes viewers on a journey to the heart of Malaysia’s culture, topography and treasures. Well known Malaysian actor, Joanna Bessey, offers firsthand experience and local insight into her country from high in the forest canopy to the sandy ocean floor. She takes us on journey of discovery, revealing the wonder of Malaysia’s fascinating and diverse facets.

Each programme is focused around a theme: ‘Nature’, ‘Architecture’ and ‘Food & Fashion’. Joanna transverses Malaysia using different forms of transport to get from place to place. The experiences, sights and sounds she encounters along the way are part of her exploration. She talks to locals throughout her journey to discover top tips and further insider knowledge.

Exploring Malaysia is not simply a travel show. It is a series that sets out to give a far more rounded experience of life in Malaysia – the people, the places and the history, outlining some of the issues that Malaysia faces as it moves into 21st Century.
